Darrell L Jackson

Born April 27, 1953 in Cunot, he was the son of Clarence Donovan McCammack and Easther Mae (Strait) Jackson.

Darrell served in the United States Marine Corp, serving in Vietnam from 1971 to 1973 and was a lifetime member of the VFW.

He had recently retired from the Putnam County Highway Department, where he had worked for over 30 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Greencastle.

He is survived by his wife, Terri L. (Hood) Jackson; daughters, Eve Jackson and Amy (Chris) Hanley; sister, Connie (Ken) Glover; brother, Cliff Jackson; brother-in-law, Mel Burkett; mother-in-law, Harriet Hood; grandchildren, Chris, Kelsey, Kolby, C.J., and Cheyanne; great grandchildren, Kendrick and Maleah, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sandra Kay Burkett; and a niece, Laura Jackson Featherston.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 25, 2016 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Interment will follow with military rites at the Forest Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, January 24th at the funeral home.
