Deborah Lea Light

Deborah Lea Light, 69 of Mooresville Passed away on Friday, September 25, 2020, at St. Francis Hospital in Mooresville. Deborah was born in Overton, Texas on May 31, 1951, the daughter of Jack and Jean (Thrash) Norris, and was a graduate of Longview High School in Longview, Texas. Survivors include her two daughters, Shonda Brewer, (husband-Michael), and Kimberly Curran, (husband-Scott); two sisters, Marilyn Barranco, (husband-Donnie), and Paula Hammerbacher, (husband-Stan); six grandchildren (Cayman, Opry, Josie, and Pippa Curran) (Madison and Morgan Brewer); and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Johnston; and a brother, Reggie Norris, and a grandson, Noah Brewer. Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 29th at Bainbridge Christian Church. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Memorial service will be from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Hopkins-Rector is in charge of the arrangements.
