Born June 29, 1951 in Indianapolis, he was the son of Donald Othel Jellison and Wynnette (Hutton) Jellison Phillips. He was a graduate of South Putnam High School.
Don was a heavy equipment operator for several years, retiring from the France Stone Quarry. He was an avid and crafted woodworker.
He was preceded in death by his father; daughter Belinda Jean Hunter; sister Robin Dloniak; and brother John Dloniak.
Don is survived by his wife Sharon Jellison; children Steven DeWayne (Deana) Hunter, Stephanie (Robert) Myers, Donald R. Jellison Jr, and Amanda (DJ) Shillings; mother Wynette Phillips; siblings Sandra (Randy) Wilcox, Terri Ferry, Tom Dloniak, Neal (Stacey) Jellison, and Chris (Debbie) Jellison; grandchildren Zachory, Tyler, Joshua, Matthew, Cheyanne, and Ellie; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 8, 2024 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home.
Interment will follow at the Little Walnut Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 noon until time of service at the funeral home.
