Doris Ilene Haussin, 89, of Greencastle, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018.
She was born in Dugger, IN the daughter of Thomas and Eulala (Burge) Smith and was a graduate of Linton Stockton High School “Class of 1947”.
Doris retired from McLean Trucking, where she worked for several years as an executive secretary. She had previously worked as a switchboard operator with Indiana Bell.
Doris was a member of the Greencastle Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy A Haussin; son, Gregg Haussin; a sister, Thelma Smith Fleetwood; and brothers, Herb and Lowell Smith.
She is survived by her sons, Gary (wife, Terri) Haussin and Geoffrey (wife, Penny) Haussin; daughter-in-law, Jenny Haussin; grandchildren, Lindsay (husband, Mike) Foreman, Gary Bradley (wife, Rayleigh) Haussin, Becca Haussin, Gaines Haussin, and Grant Haussin; and four great grandchildren, Trevor, Max, Eli, and Owen Foreman.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, June 29, 2018 at the Forest Hill Cemetery. Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
