Charlie was born on July 18, 1957 in Greencastle to Frank Wayne Grimes and Wanda Mae Chadd Grimes.
He had been employed at the former Dick Brown Ford as a mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his parents; triplet sons, Bradley Gene, Jeremy Wayne and Frank DeWayne; a sister, Kathy York, and a nephew Darrell Wayne Long.
Surviving are his wife of 15 years, Angel Lynn; his children, Heather Cowart, Michael Grimes and companion Lindsey, Mathew Grimes and wife Ruthie, Rebecca Grimes and companion James Stewart; his siblings, Hank Grimes and companion Betty, Cindy Morris and fiancée Rick Long, and Wayne Grimes and wife Carol; a brother-in-law, Tim York; 12 grandchildren, and one on the way; several nieces, nephews and cousins .
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at 1 P.M. at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 11 A.M. until time of services. Interment will follow at Boone – Hutcheson Cemetery.
