Gary David Vickous

Gary was born in Indianapolis on November 20, 1946, the son of Olden and Marjorie (Spargur) Vickous, and was a graduate of Greencastle High School.

Mr. Vickous proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked as a feed salesman for Nutrina and was Owner and Operator of Greencastle Feed Service for many years. He was a life-time member of the VFW.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Patricia Vickous; two children, Melissa Nees, (Jamie), Fillmore, and Jeffrey Vickous, (Stacey), Fillmore; three step-children, Brian Lynch, (Kari), Indianapolis, Dustin Crowe, (KrisAnne), Indianapolis, and Desirea Crowe, (Kyle Harman), Martinsville; a sister, Susie McMains, (Larry), Greencastle; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother Roger Vickous.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Wednesday.
