Gertrude Marie Lawson

Marie was born on April 25, 1923 in Greencastle, IN to Charles and Mackie Lee Brown. She was a graduate of Greencastle High School Class of 1942, a 1956 graduate of Madame C.J. Walker School, and worked locally as a beautician.

Survivors include her children, Stephen E. Norris of Pasadena, CA, Tonia Plant of Atlanta, GA, Linda Chadwick of Harrisburg, PA, and DeWayne Norris of Sacramento, CA; sisters, Betty Campbell, Charlotte Churchill, and Lillian Frazier; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Lawson; her former husband, Fred Norris, and daughter, Sharon Kay Norris

Funeral Services will be 12 p.m. Friday, November 11, in Gobin Memorial United Methodist Church, Greencastle, IN, with calling there from 11 a.m. until the time of the Funeral. Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
