Glenford H. Leslie, age 97, of Greencastle, passed away Saturday morning, February 21, 2026, at his residence surrounded by family. Glen was born in Putnam County, to the late Albert and Kathryn Leslie.
Glen was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Vera (Royse) Leslie; son, Thomas William McClure, all siblings, and two granddaughters
Glen is survived by three daughters, Rosemary (McClure) Phipps, Marsha (Leslie) Manion, and Janet (Leslie) King, seven grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
Glen retired from Lone Star Industries, twice. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He was a faithful Christian and loved reading his bible. After retirement, he loved fixing outdoor equipment watching Notre Dame football, and gardening.
At his request, graveside funeral service and burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 with military honors at Boone Hutcheson Cemetery. Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
