Marilyn Ann Shoemaker

Marilyn Ann Shoemaker, 85, of Greencastle, passed away Friday, April 12, 2019, at Mill Pond Health Campus. Marilyn was born in Roachdale on September 29, 1933, the daughter of Charles and Chloe Byrd. Mrs. Shoemaker was a member of Fillmore United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Roy E. Shoemaker, Greencastle; a daughter, Cathy Richey, Indianapolis; a brother, Ronnie Byrd (Marilyn); two grandchildren, Noah and Micah Richey; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Dean Byrd; a sister, Christine Swartz; and an infant brother. Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday April 19, 2019 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with Pastor Bryan Palmer-Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Fillmore Cemetery.
