Mary was born in Roodhouse, Illinois on October 11, 1929, the daughter of George T. and Eva Leauella, (Lawson) Little, and was a graduate of Roodhouse High School.
Mrs. Monroe worked for many years as a secretary for Pinrod. She was dearly loved and will be missed by many.
Survivors include two sons, Rick D. Monroe, (fiancé-Janie Payton), Brazil, Indiana, and Doug Monroe, Columbiana, Alabama; a sister, Leona McFeeters, Roodhouse, Illinois; two brothers, Ted Little, (wife-Joyce), and Gene Little, (wife-Ina), both of Roodhouse Illinois; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Monroe; and three brothers, Donald, Delos, and George Robert “Bill” Little.
At her request there will be no visitation or services. A cremation will take place at a later date with a private family burial in Rice Cemetery in Elkhart, Indiana.
