Mary Annabelle Monroe, 87, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017, at The Waters of Greencastle following an extended illness. Mary was born in Roodhouse, Illinois on October 11, 1929, the daughter of George T. and Eva Leauella, (Lawson) Little, and was a graduate of Roodhouse High School.
Survivors include two sons, Rick D. Monroe, (fiancé-Janie Payton), Brazil, Indiana, and Doug Monroe, Columbiana, Alabama; a sister, Leona McFeeters, Roodhouse, Illinois; two brothers, Ted Little, (wife-Joyce), and Gene Little, (wife-Ina), both of Roodhouse Illinois; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Monroe; and three brothers, Donald, Delos, and George Robert “Bill” Little. At her request there will be no visitation or services. A cremation will take place at a later date with a private family burial in Rice Cemetery in Elkhart, Indiana.
