Merl Eugene Grimes

Merl E. Grimes, 92, of Greencastle, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2018. He was born June 18, 1926 in Kokomo, IN, the son of Albert Lee and Martha Luvinnie (Norris) Grimes. Merl was a veteran having served in the United States Army. He was a maintenance supervisor with DePauw University for over 50 years, retiring in 1991. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie (Pettit) Grimes; children, Constance Brown, Rebecca (husband, Rodney) Bond, Debra Wood, David (wife, Faye) Grimes, and Martha (husband, James) Knoebel; eight grandsons and one granddaughter; and several great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Frank, Fred, Albert, and Donald Grimes. Private family services will be held at a later date.
