
Born July 23, 1037 in Dana, IN, the daughter of Dale E. and Rosellen (Tewell) Remley. She was a graduate of Orange High School of Orange, IN “Class of 1955”.
Von was a receptionist with Putnam County Comprehensive Services for several years; the Putnam County contact for W.I.L.L. Center, and a volunteer at the Putnam County Foundation.
She was a member of Delta Theta Tau Sorority; Elks Club; V.F.W. & American Legion Ladies Auxiliaries; Webster UMC in Webster, IN; and hosted a support group for low vision and blind.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Tom Lewis and James W. Braden, and half-brother James Crowthers.
Von is survived by her brothers William (Barbara) Remley and Mark (Robin) Piquard; sisters Mary Kay Crowthers and Vickie Day; stepchildren Kim Braden, James C. (Sue) Braden, and Tonya (Greg) Cameron; grandchildren Alex Braden, Lucas Braden, and Kaden, Kyan, and Dallen Cameron.
Von had requested cremation with no services. Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Von to the W.I.L.L. Center or the Putnam County Comprehensive Services Special Olympics.
