Norman was born in Greencastle on October 18, 1935 the son of Morris Leon and Catherine V. (Whitted) Dunn.
Mr. Dunn worked for many years with IBM until his retirement in 1987. Norman proudly served in the United States Airforce.
Survivors include two daughters, Julie Wood (Donnie), and Diana Wall; a brother, Rex Dunn, (Sharon); nine grandchildren, Brandon Downing, (Katie), Justin Downing, (Melanie), Brittany Rominger, Jessica Shaff, (Jonathan), Amanda Ballenger, (Troy), Chris Wood, (Michelle), Derek Dunn, (Melinda), Danielle Dunn, and Josh Dunn; eighteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Rebecca (Simmerman) Dunn; two sons, Kevin E Dunn and Richard Dunn; a brother, Carl Dunn a sister, Jeannine Christian and a great-granddaughter, Hadley Downing.
At his request a cremation will take place. A graveside memorial service with military honors will take place at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Forest Hill Cemetery.
