Ray Keith Black

Ray Keith Black, 83, of Greencastle, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2019. He was born October 29, 1935 in Greencastle, the son of Paul and Louisa (Lewis) Black and was a graduate of Greencastle High School “Class of 1954”. Ray retired from Teamsters Local 135, where he had worked several years as a truck driver. He is survived by his wife, Barbara (York) Black; son, Jimmy (wife, Margo) Black; daughter, Kathy (husband, Allen) Gibson; sister, Laconda (husband, Harvey) King; two half-sisters, Norvetta and Willena; five grandchildren, Jessica, Zachary, Mitch, Bradi, and Jaren; five great grandchildren, Davis, Charlotte, Ben, Eli, and Alessa. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Ardella and Onieda. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 17th at the funeral home.
