Born September 6, 1938, in Greencastle, she was the daughter of Frederick Riggs and Geneive (Pollom) Brann. She was a graduate of Reelsville High School.
Reta had worked for several years at Horace Link Furniture until their closure. She then owned and operated RR Automotive sale with her husband Ronald. After her retirement she worked at the Away Home Shelter and volunteered at the Putnam County Senior Center. Reta was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time at the Putnam County Library.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ronald D. Branham Sr.
Reta is survived by her son Ron (Tammy) Branham Jr; daughter Dawn Grimes; brother David (Cindie) Riggs; grandchildren Chase (Ashley) Dunigan and Tanner Branham; great grandchildren Isabel, Casey, & Cameron Hatfield, Easton & Gabby Dunigan.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Away Home Shelter, Greencastle or the Putnam County Senior Center in memory of Reta.
