Born November 26, 1946 in Salem, IN, the son of Hobart and Harriet (Branaman) Chastain. He was a graduate of Medora High School.
Bob was a timber cutter and log truck driver working for Pingleton Sawmill for several years. He had also served in the Army National Guard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Carrie Sue Bray; and a brother Jerry Chastain.
Bob is survived by his wife Louisa (Lewis) Chastain; son Bobby Chastain; daughters Melissa Chastain and Carla Rosselot; brother John Chastain; sister Eleanor (Kenny) Hauser; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at the Bainbridge Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM on Saturday until time of service at the funeral home.
