Ruth Marie Hanlon

Born January 13, 1936 in Clay County, the daughter of Estel and Herberta (Leberer) Sutton and was a graduate of Greencastle High School.

Ruth had retired from DePauw University where she had worked as an accounting clerk for 38 years. She was a member of the Greencastle Presbyterian Church and the Greencastle Order of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Jack Hanlon.

She is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Jerry) Rowland and Denise (Tom) Royer; six grandchildren, Jason (Jayne) Frazier, Heather (Ty) Byrd, Kelsey Vermillion, Jennifer (Josh) Sloan, Courtney Rynn, Laura (Jeremy) Washnock; and 14 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Greencastle Presbyterian Church.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the Greencastle Presbyterian Church. Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
