Born on February 8th,1951 to Claude and Ruth (Vaught)Albright, she was the oldest of two children.
She graduated from Reelsville School and lived most of her life in the Crawfordsville/Greencastle area. As a young adult she worked for 15 years alongside the editor at The Banner Graphic.
She was an avid fan of The Indianapolis Colts and The Indiana Pacers. In her pastime she loved to spend her days watching her favorite soaps The Young and the Restless and Days of our Lives, as well as playing Chuzzle on her computer.
Shirley loved her family very much and enjoyed every minute she had to spend with them.
In her mid twenties she married Paul M. Evans Sr and to this union three son's were born. Sadly, he pre-deceased her and the boys. Later on her life she would find love once again and would marry her second husband James Pruitt who preceded her in death as well.
She is survived by her only brother Melvin (Debbie) Albright, Greencastle; son's Paul M. Evans Jr, Madison Indiana; John C. Evans, Greencastle; Arthur "Chris" (Angie) Evans, Greencastle; three grandchildren that she loved tremendously, Jordan, Alberta, and Brian Evans, Bainbridge Indiana.
Shirley is also survived by friends, extended family and two animal grandchildren that she thought the world of, Furbe and Paco Bell Evans.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, her first and second husbands and her beloved dog "Spice" that she had as an adult.
Shirley's last wishes were to be cremated, upon her final wishes a cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held in her memory and honor.
Family, friends and who all knew Shirley are welcome to join us in honoring her memory and share in the many stories we have of this extraordinary and wonderful woman on Saturday March 22nd 2014 from 11am to 2pm at the Big Walnut Sports Park in Greencastle, Indiana.
