Terry Lee Covert

Terry was born in Greencastle on December 31, 1953, the son of Jesse and Mary (Williams) Covert, and attended Greencastle Schools.

Mr. Covert was a Team Leader at Great Dane for 36 years until his retirement in 2014.

Survivors include his wife of 31/2 years, Kathy Covert; a daughter, Carla Ricketts, (husband-Bret), Greencastle; three step-children, Brad Sutherlin, Brazil, Felicite Fockler, Greencastle, and Thomas J. Miles II, Greencastle; two sisters, Patty Strong, Fillmore and Mary Dawn Fenwick, (husband-Ralph), Greencastle; a brother, Steve Covert, Greencastle; three grandchildren, Jessica Covert, Brittany Ricketts, and Levi Ricketts; five step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Darrell Covert, a granddaughter, Destiny Ricketts; and a sister-in-law, Betty Covert.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with Pastors David Bard and Archie Strong officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home on 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 13, 2017 or one hour prior to time of service Tuesday.
