Thomas Byron Shugars Sr.

He was born on February 22, 1958 in Indianapolis to Robert W. Shugars and Betty Jane Shearer Shugars.

Tom attended Plainfield High School, and had been employed with D.C. Licht Concrete.

His parents and a son, Anthony Pulsipher preceded him in death.

Surviving are his wife, Patty; nine children, Lori Fitzgerald, Jim Shugars, April Edwards, Bradley Shugars, Daniel Flowers, Thomas B. Shugars, Jr., Crystal Finchum, Jessica Burris and Josh Sebastian; five brothers, Dean Shugars, Robert Shugars, Theodore “Ted” Shugars, Darrel Shugars and wife Anita, and Patrick Shugars and wife Kim; and one sister, Melissa Abbott and husband Gary; 14 grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will celebrate Tom’s Life on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 1 P.M. at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, with his mother-in-law, Rev. Marie Riley, sharing the eulogy of his life. The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. until time of services.
