Known as “June” to most, she was born on February 8, 1929, to Frank and Mary Gertrude Busch. June lived in Greencastle beginning in her early teen years to the time of her death.
On November 24, 1949, she married Bobby Gene Albright at the First Christian Church in Greencastle. In the early years, Bob and June lived near Putnamville and raised turkeys. In 1965, Bob and June moved to Greencastle where she served as matron at the Putnam County Jail for eight years during her husband’s term as Putnam County Sheriff. She went on to work as the First Deputy in the Putnam County Treasurer’s Office until retirement.
June was a dedicated and loving mother, wife, grandmother and great-grandmother and a good and kind friend to many. She spent countless hours in her flower gardens growing prize winning dahlias, lilies and roses. When June wasn’t in her gardens, she was in her kitchen baking pies, cookies, cakes, and candies, all of which were also winners at the county fair and other local celebrations.
June was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Merry Jills and proudly represented her family as a member of the Washburn Chapter National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by a son, Mark of Greencastle and daughter Jackie Eitel and husband Ken of Greencastle and five grandchildren including Tony Eitel and wife Mary, Patrick Eitel and wife Amy, Nicholas Albright and wife Liz, Adam Eitel and wife Alison, Jacob Eitel and wife Ashley, ten great-grandchildren, a sister Marilyn Vinson and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
June was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandson, Jeremy Stephen Albright and a great-grandson, Daniel August Eitel.

The family would like to thank the teams at Mill Pond Health Campus and Life’s Journey Hospice for the love and compassionate care provided to June over the last several years. They are truly teams of angels.
