Wallace Eugene Burris

Wallace proudly served in the United States Marine Corp from 1958-1962 where he traveled to Hawaii, Japan and Haiti. He later worked at Bridgeport/OLin Brass in Indianapolis, where he retired after 51 years. He married his wife, Linda, in Illinois on May 29, 1965.

In their 52 years of marriage, they had three children, Donald (Joyce) Burris of Roachdale , Connie (Joe) McCurrey of Brazil, and Herschel "Blue" (Cindi) Burris of Brazil; six grandchildren, Bradley Burris, Gary Burris, Kimberly McCurrey, Christina McCurrey, Mallery Burris and Dustin Burris. He also had five great-grandchildren, Lenaye Welch, Emma Gene McCurrey, Braelynn McCurrey, Laney Burris and Samuel Burris. He is survived by a sister, Sharon (Bill) Long, of Greencastle, IN. He has several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog Amy Lou.

He proceeded in death by his parents, brother Donald Burris and great-granddaughter Braelynn McCurrey.
