William Eugene Rich

William was born in Indianapolis on May 08, 1959, the son of Gene Autry and Shirley Ann (Mason) Rich, and was a 1977 graduate of Ben Davis High School.

Mr. Rich worked 31 years as a Courier for Duke Energy until he retired.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years Lynnette “Lynn” Rich; three daughters, Lindsay N. Slater, (Tommy Chew), Megan M. Poole, (Andrew), and Ashley B. Elder, (Albert); a brother, Timothy A. Rich, (Cissy); a sister, Gina R. Lewis, (Chris); six grandsons, Gage Slater, (Hannah), Zion Slater, Andrew Poole III, Axl Mickey, Quentin Elder, and Tucker Elder; four granddaughters, Haley Herrod, (Tanner), Abbigail Poole, Emma Poole, and Charlee Poole; two great-grandchildren, Nevada Slater and Austin Herrod; one great-grandchild on the way; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his grandparents, William E. and Eula M. Rinehart.

Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 8, 2021, at Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with Pastor Edward King officiating, burial will follow in Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Friday.
