William H. Woods

He was born on August 18, 1925 in Putnam County to Frank M. Woods and Hazel D. Lydick Woods.

Billy was a lifelong farmer, and had been a school bus driver and postal carrier.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Waldo Woods; a sister Wilma Pauline Cash; a sister-in-law, Ruth woods; and two brother- in- laws, Robert Cash and Harold Lisby.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years , Crystal Phillips Woods; two sons, Richard Woods of Plainfield, and Eddie Woods and wife Barbara of Okeechobee, FL; two daughters, Janet Miles and husband Bill of Fillmore, and Judy Clifford and husband Lannie of Cloverdale; a brother, Morris F. Woods of Greencastle, a sister, Thelma Lisby of Coatesville; 10 grandchildren, Mendy Shrout and husband David, Jodie Clodfelter and husband Aaron, Ty Woods and wife Nicky, Ryan Woods, Kerry Miles, Kurt Miles, Kristie Bumgardner and husband Tony, Kimberly Cunningham and husband Jeff, Lana Robinson and husband Shadd, and Jason Clifford; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter.

A Memorial Service will celebrate Billy’s life on Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 2 P.M. at Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home, with Pastor Mike Faust officiating. Inurnment will follow at Fillmore Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday at the funeral home from 12 noon until time of services.
