

Alan Dale Clark, 76, of Thomasville, NC passed away on December 13, 2025, following a long-term illness. Alan was born on October 20, 1949, in Lexington, Kentucky, where he developed a lifelong love for the University of Kentucky Wildcats and remained an avid fan throughout his life.
He dedicated more than 28 years of service to the Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated, working in sales and distribution within the beverage industry. Alan was known for his strong work ethic, reliability and commitment to his profession.
Alan is survived by his beloved wife, Earla Clark, whom he married on October 26, 2010, daughters Kami Keaton (Nicole Fleming) and Heather Cardwell ( Chris Cardwell); son-in-law Charles Wiedmann; eight grandchildren-Ben Baker, Sara Baker, Trae Shamblin (Alexa Baker), Quinton Shamblin (Maria Shamblin), Jonathan Cumblidge, Isabella Wyatt, Matthew Keaton, and Katie Keaton; two great-grandchildren Caspian Shamblin and Charlotte Baker; step-sister Kellie Clark Tatum (Bobby); step-brother Jeff Clark (Sandy), multiple extended family members and special longtime friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Marla Wiedmann; mother Dorothy Jarman Clark and his father Elmer Wilson Clark.
Alan will be remembered for his vivid storytelling that brought laughter to everyone around him. He loved to hunt, fish, travel and cheer on Kentucky Wildcats basketball. He was known as a great teacher and a loyal friend, admired for his dedication and the deep love he held for his family and friends. He often said his greatest joy was having his children and grandchildren gathered around him.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 19, 2025, Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407, from 5:00-7:00 pm. Funeral will be Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 10:00 am, Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel, 6000 West Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407.
