Alfred Al H. Kimble Jr.

Al was born in the Bronx, NY, on September 12, 1935, the son of Alfred H. and Ida Chadwick Kimble Sr. He attended Mars Hill College and served in the US Marine Corp. He was employed with the Lowes Company. Al was a member of St. Francis Episcopal Church. He loved his family and enjoyed the time he could spend with them. Al was a loving husband, father, uncle and friend to many. He will be deeply missed.

Surviving is his loving wife, Melinda Byrd Kimble; son Jeff Kimble and wife Janine; niece, Lindsay Byrd; grandchildren, Scott Baisley and Elizabeth Baisley; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Byrd and his daughter, Debra Baisley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Francis Episcopal Church Kitchen Fund, 3506 Lawndale Drive, Greensboro, NC 27408.

The family will receive friends following the service in the Fellowship Hall at the church.

The family wishes to thank all of the Dr's, nurses and staff at the Neuro ICU at Moses Cone Hospital.
