Allison Bridges Joyce

A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at Hanes-Lineberry N. Elm Chapel.

Allison was born November 19, 1986, in Greensboro, the daughter of Nancy and stepfather Dennis Marcotte.

Allison was a very active member of Definition Church. She enjoyed hiking, travelling, the beach, reading her bible daily and sharing favorite verses with her social media followers. She will be remembered for her loving, kind and generous spirit. Her compassion was evident to all the pets she cared for. Allison had a great sense of humor, enjoying her jokes with others.

In addition to her parents of Greensboro, those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Persia King of Greensboro; sisters, Beth Petty (Dan) of Charlotte, Emily Joyce of Sterling, VA and Laurie Brinson of Boone; maternal grandmother, Jan Beaman of Colfax; her best friend, Edward King of Greensboro, and her nieces and nephews, Ryan, Ava and Sarah Petty and Scarlett Brinson.

The family asks with gratitude that memorials in Allison’s name be made to the Society for Prevention-Cruelty/ SPCA Of the Triad, 3163 Hines Chapel Rd. Greensboro, NC 27405.
