

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 28th at Shining Light Baptist Church with the Reverend Jimmy Dillon officiating; burial will follow in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Crowder was born February 12, 1938 to the late Marcus Eugene and Alsie Mae Barham Carr, in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Aril Rafaelle and cousins, Regina Barham, Frank Barham, Paul Wilson, Wesley Barham, Sonja Barham Sharpe and Thomas Lee Wilson.
Mrs. Crowder was a member of Shining Light Baptist Church where she was in the choir and the Ladies Circle. She was a very benevolent, honest, gentle, humble person, a great hostess, amazing wife and mother.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years Tom Crowder of the home, a son, Marc Crowder, daughter, Felicia Gail Rafaelle and husband Giorgio, three sisters, Ida Penry and husband Norris, Beverly Ann Key and husband David, Nancy Nelson and husband Don all of Greensboro, one, brother Marcus E. Carr, Jr. and wife Sherri of Holland, PA, five grandchildren, Annette Evangelista, Matthew Crowder, Tiffany James, Ashley Crowder and Giorgio Rafaelle, five Great- grandchildren, Jace Evangelista, Jayden Evangelista, Cali James, Lanie James and Madilyn James; cousins, Maxine Barham Reid, Agnes Barham Van Hoy, Wayne Barham, Linda Barham Hershman, Patsy Barham Goodman, Marlie Barham Ellington, Eva Barham Fox, Clay Barham, Betty Barham Baynes, Brinda Barham Loy, Fay Barham Joyce, Marvina Barham Barker, Carol Wilson Rumley, Louise Wilson Albert, Beth Barham Linville, Carolyn Barham Thore, Sandra Barham King, Walter Barham, Wade Wilson.
The family will receive friends at Shining Light Baptist Church on Friday, August 27, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
