

Mariana was born on 22 May 1973 to parents Armando Negrete and Ana Maria Perez in the town of Uruapan, in the state of Michoacan, Mexico. After Mariana graduated from La Corregidora High School in 1991 and began work with Garcia Arevalo Transport Services. In 1997 Mariana immigrated to the United States where she met her husband Al Summers. Mariana is survived by her husband, Al Summers, daughters Ana Karena (26), Franchesca Gisselle (23), Lesley Monique (22), and twin boys Alessandro and Antonello (14).
Mariana was an avid futbol [soccer] fan and frequently attended professional soccer matches throughout the Southeastern U.S. with her children and other family members. She enjoyed travelling with her family and friends, church activities, and simply being with friends. She was also fond of cooking and serving the public through work in the retail food service industry (grocery), in her Ice Cream Shop (Sprinkles) and later started a Food Truck (Las Marias).
Mariana was predeceased by both her father and mother, Ana Maria Perez (2003). She is survived by two brothers Armando Negrete of Greensboro, and Mario Negrete of Salamanca, Guanajuato, Mexico, and two sisters Lucero Ramirez of Greensboro and Linda Valdez-Perez also of Greensboro.
A public memorial service is planned to take place at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, Duke St., in Greensboro, in the very near future. Date and time of service will be published as soon as it is known.
