

There will be a Memorial Service at First Lutheran Church, 3600 W. Friendly Avenue, Greensboro, NC on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with a visitation from 1:15 pm until 2.
A native of Washington State, Ann was a member of the First Lutheran Church, the Piedmont Doll Club, the Madame Alexander Doll Club, the Col. Arthur Forbis DAR and the Modern Doll Club. She was also very active in the rescue of dogs and had a special love for her Bichons: Muffin, Fluffy, Jesse, Willow and Maggie. Ann was an enthusiastic genealogy researcher and was proud of her Irish and Swedish heritage. She had two personal ministries, one being the design and production of the monthly Shepherd’s Flock Card, a ministry through her church. The second was Secret Angel Stitchers, an outreach ministry that provided comfort to hurting people.
She is survived by her husband and best friend, Gary Steve McCurdy, four daughters: Dr. And Mrs. Allen (Teresia Ann) Queen, Advance, NC, Mr. and Mrs. Billy (Tracy) Grooms of Charlotte, NC, Dr. and Mrs. Kirk (Tondja) Turner of Mooresville, NC and Mr. and Mrs. Carlos (Allison) Perez of New Jersey. A very special step-daughter Mr. and Mrs. Parker (Debi) Myers and a stepson Mr. and Mrs. Jeff (Wendy) McCurdy. There are nine grandchildren: Cary, Jessica, Ritchie, Travis, Anna, David, Megan, Connor and Matthew. There are two special sisters-in-law: Catherine Jacobson Graham, surviving, Spokane, WA and Nancy Lee Wood, deceased, Greensville, SC.
