

Mrs. Anna Whitlock Bryson, 84, a resident of Kernersville and former resident of Greensboro died Tuesday evening May 22, 2012. Mrs. Bryson was born July 11, 1927 in New Orleans, LA the daughter of William Henry and Bernetta Leitz Whitlock. She was a homemaker and of the Catholic Faith.
Mrs. Bryson was married on October 15, 1946 to Chadwick Eagean Bryson who preceded her in death on October 7, 1973. Mrs. Bryson was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Hamilton and three brothers, Kenneth, George and Gilbert Whitlock.
Surviving are four daughters, Merle Roddy and husband James of the home, Colleen Forbes and husband Lee of Greensboro, Robin Coltrane and husband Noel of Pleasant Garden, Maxine Hopkins of New Orleans, LA; three sons, Kenneth Bryson and wife Gail of Browns Summit, George Bryson of New Orleans, LA, Matthew “Matt” Bryson and wife Debbie of Randleman; 17 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Friday at 12 noon at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m.
