Benjamin “Ben” Bernice Phillips, III, 66, a resident of Greensboro passed away on Wednesday February 8, 2017. He was born March 17, 1950 in Guilford County the son of the late Benjamin Bernice Phillips, Jr. and Beth Heffner Phillips.
Ben was a graduate of Page High School and founded Tritech Electronics Inc. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Ben was a talented and gifted musician, playing keyboards for local groups. For several years he was keyboard player for Bill Pinkey and the Original Drifters.
Ben is survived by his former wife, Cindy; his daughter Amy P. Jordan (Kyle); grandchildren, Olivia Marie Jordan and Liam Alexander Jordan.
A Service to Celebrate Ben’s life will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park with Military Honors by the Randolph County Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until service time.
