Ben was born on April 14, 1916 in Greensboro, NC, the son of Benjamin B. Phillips Sr. and Flora Cox Phillips. He was employed with the Addressograph Multigraph Corp. as a service manager until his retirement.
He was an active Amateur Radio Operator and as such was a member of the Navy Marine Corr MARS Program for over 25 years.
Ben was preceded in death by his wife, Beth Marie Heffner Phillips in May of 1987. Surviving is his son, Benjamin B. Phillips III of Greensboro; granddaughter, Amy Marie Phillips Jordan and husband Kyle and great grandchildren, Olivia and Liam Jordan, all of Greensboro, NC.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 13th, 2:00 p.m. Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Hanes Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice Unit at Moses Cone Hospital, 1200 N. Elm Street, Greensboro, NC 27401.
