Bernice Y. Salvin, 83, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010 at Blumenthal Jewish Nursing and Rehab Center. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. at the Greensboro Hebrew Cemetery with Rabbi Fred Guttman officiating.
Bernice was born in Orange, NJ on Dec. 8, 1926. She was a graduate of New York University, and was a Speech Pathologist both in New Jersey and Greensboro when she relocated here in 1970 after her marriage to Victor Salvin. She enjoyed all the arts, particularly music and art museums. A poet and prolific writer, she also enjoyed traveling the world. Bernice was an active member of Temple Emmanuel and the Piedmont Interfaith Council.
Bernice is survived by her son Mark Rosenbaum and daughter in law, Segrid Ellis of Greensboro, NC, daughter Helaine and son-in-law Howard Medoff of Marietta, GA; her granddaughter Emily Medoff; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Barbara Youngman of Verona, NJ.
