Mrs. Betty E. Hamm, 80, a resident of Thomasville and former resident of Jamestown passed away on Thursday April 14, 2016. Betty was born December 28, 1935 in Jefferson the daughter of Claude and Beatrice Gilley Eldreth.
She was retired from Lucent Technology and was a member of God’s Harvest Worship Center in Thomasville.
Betty was married to Thomas James Hamm who preceded her in death in 2006. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, John Thomas Hamm; sisters, Geraldine E. Campbell, Marie E. Lambert and brothers, Bill, Walter, Andy and Bobby Eldreth.
She is survived by her son, Billy Raye Hamm and wife Susan of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, John “Tommy” Hamm and wife Jill of Trinity, Hayley Hamm of Atlanta, GA and great granddaughter, Makayla Hamm.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Homes Sedgefield Chapel conducted by Pastor Joe Bean. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral Home on Saturday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
