Betty M. Thompson, beloved mother of Dona Branson and Chuck Thompson, passed into the presence of her Lord on February 28, 2025, at the age of 95. She joins her precious husband, Albert, who predeceased her in 2001.
Betty was a wonderful, supportive and loving mother who set an example for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was exceptionally smart, skipping two grades in school and for many years was an internal auditor for Sears. She graduated high school at the age of 15, married that same year and spent 56 years with her beloved Albert.
Survivors include her daughter, Dona; son, Chuck and wife Kelly; grandchildren, Lauren, Kelly and Derek and great-grandchildren, Wesley, Ryker, Corben and Leah.
No formal services are planned. There will be a private family interment at Lakeview Memorial Park on Tuesday, March 4.
Memorial contributions in Betty’s memory may be made to any animal charity of one’s choice.
