She was predeceased by her loving husband, Harold Knight Page and precious granddaughter, Jennifer Grace Page. Surviving are her three sons, Larry Page (Dawn) of Hilton Head, SC, Gregg Page (Dino) of Greensboro and Jimmy Page also of Greensboro; her grandchildren who brought her an abundance of joy, Hannah Mosby (Chad), Jonathan Page (Sarah Margaret), Stephen Page (Evan), Abigail Krause (Ben), Michael Page (Stephanie) and Bekah Froelich (Ben). Affectionately known as “Magake”, her face would light up whenever one of her 16 great grandchildren graced her home. Throughout the last year she talked of “the babies” real and imagined and now she will have her fill of little ones in Heaven.
Harold and Betty Jean were quite the couple in life and will be fondly remembered by friends and family members for their devotion to one another. Betty Jean continued her involvement at Mt. Pisgah UMC after his passing, serving in various capacities including Stephen Ministry, visiting shut-ins, and attending Circle group.
The family would like to express their deep appreciation for the loving care she received at Friends Homes West, especially over the past four and a half years while she resided in assisted living and skilled nursing care.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18 at 11am in the Living Room at Friends Homes West. A reception will follow the service.
