Billy "BJ" Joe King

Born on May 11, 1946 in Jonesboro, TN he was the son of the late Jessie King and Bessie Gillen King. BJ was a talented craftsman in woodworking, cabinet making and general carpentry. He also enjoyed playing golf and watching westerns. BJ was a member of Free Will Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Tammy King; sons, Brad King and wife Sherri and Greg King and wife Kalea; step daughter, Misty Dawn Greenwood and husband Eddie; step-son, Jason Clay Ozment and wife Marla; grandchildren, Tyler King, Grant King, Addison King, Harper King, Josie King, Abbie Greenwood, Stella Ozment and Carter Ozment; one great grandchild; brother, William King and wife Lovie; brother-in-law, Tim Ellington and girlfriend, Gina Infinger; and numerous other family members and friends.

A celebration of BJ’s life service will be held on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at 1 pm at Faith Free Will Baptist Church, 2010 Colby Street, Greensboro, NC 27407.

For those wishing to make memorial contributions, the family suggests Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice of the Piedmont.
