

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 11 at 2:00 pm at Peace United Church of Christ located at 2714 West Market Street
Bryce attended Grimsley Senior High School and Chowan College. He owned and operated Tri-State Equipment and Cobia Auction Company. He was also a member of the NC Auctioneers Association and Certified Appraisers Guild of America (CAGA). Bryce was a Shriner and a member of the Masonic Guilford Lodge 656 AF and AM.
An avid sportsman, he enjoyed the water, fishing, and hunting. But, Bryce’s true love and passion for over thirty-five years was flying. He also spent much of his time enjoying the waters of the Shallotte River and the coast of NC.
Bryce was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie “O.R.” and Bobbie Cobia and a grandson, Hunter Reid Henderlite.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Cynthia Bell Cobia and his children: daughter, Tricia Cobia Henderlite and husband, Scott of Richmond, VA, son, Justin Cobia, and daughters, Lauren Cobia, Whitney Cobia, all of Greensboro. He has six grandchildren, Jonathan, Dakota, Logan, Nicholas, Brianna, and Addison. He is also survived by two step-children, Stephanie Bona Benton and husband, Randy of Cornelius, and Andrew Bona of Washington, DC. Bryce is survived by two brothers and their children, Robbin Cobia and wife, Sandy of Greensboro, their son Rob and daughter Smyth, and Grant Cobia of Atlanta, GA and his son Jonathan and daughter Elizabeth. He leaves behind three, loving Labradors, Bailey, Sailor, and Skipper.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, September 10 at Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home N. Elm St.
