Burke Prairie

A celebration of his life will be held at 2 pm. on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel 6000 High Point Rd., in Greensboro. The family will receive friends starting at 1 pm. Following the service, friends and family are invited to Burke and Rhonda’s home for refreshments and a time to share fond memories.

Burke “Burkles” grew up in Massena, NY before moving to the south where he began to consider himself a true Southerner with the first order of grits Rhonda made him eat. Burke gave his life to the Lord at age 14 on a mission trip with The Salvation Army and truly lived his life under the guidance of his scripture. He was an absolute sports fanatic. If it was on ESPN he loved it no matter the sport. He was a hard dedicated worker and spent 35 years with Beneficial Finance, now HSBC. Burke married Rhonda Fuller in 2004 and vowed to spend the rest of his life with her and the many animals she rescued off the side of the road. He was a loving husband, father, brother, son, uncle and friend who will be missed dearly by all the lives he touched.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Rhonda Fuller: daughter Kristina Fuller and life partner Rachel Walker; brother Charles Gary Prairie and wife Candy; father in law Thomas Fuller and fiancé Pat McCall; brother and sister in law Layne and Judy Fuller; and many East Wendover, Ste. 411, Greensboro, NC 27401. Attention: Dee Talley nieces nephews and cousins.
