

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carl Eugene Adams, a cherished son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother-in-law and friend, who departed this world peacefully on February 11, 2026, at the age of 71.
Carl was a man of profound faith and love, whose life was a testament to his devotion to his family, his passion for music, and his unwavering faith in the Lord. Carl was born on January 7, 1955, in Danville, Virginia. He completed his high school education at Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring, Maryland. After dedicating 25 years of his career to Hershey Chocolate of Virginia, Carl decided to retire and relocate to North Carolina.
Above all, Carl was a devoted family man. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 46 years, Barbara, his four children, Carlin, Tiffany, Erica, and Crystal, ten adoring grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. His family was his greatest pride and joy. Carl's warmth, love, and wisdom were the cornerstones of his home, providing comfort and guidance to those he held dear.
Carl's love of music was boundless. He enjoyed strumming his guitar, collecting instruments and records, music was an integral part of his soul. His home was always filled with music, a passion he passed down and will live on. Some of the family’s most cherished memories are of him with a guitar in his hands.
Carl's faith in the Lord was the guiding light of his life. He grew up in the church and carried his faith throughout his life. His faith was reflected in his kindness, hard work, and dedication. Carl's unwavering belief in the Lord's plan provided him with peace and purpose throughout his life's journey.
Carl Eugene Adams will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, music, and faith will continue to inspire and uplift those he leaves behind. We find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace, wrapped in the eternal embrace of the Lord he loved so deeply.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Hanes-Lineberry Chapel, located at 6000 W. Gate City Blvd., Greensboro, NC 27407. A viewing is scheduled to take place at 12:00 PM before the service. The service itself will commence on February 21, 2026, at 1:00 PM.
