

Mrs. Carolyn Alley Hudson of Greensboro, 81, passed away at Moses Cone Hospital on Tuesday January 27, 2026. Carolyn was born in Rockingham County on November 3, 1944 at Annie Penn Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Mack and Edna Alley.
Carolyn was an accounting bookkeeper for The Agency, Inc. where she still worked part time. She and her husband were former Stephen Ministers. Her favorite thing to do was spending time loving on her grandchildren. She loved doing for others, always putting others first, cooking and sharing. People loved going to her home for meals and family gatherings. She enjoyed attending her daughter Tammy’s dance performances, her son Tim’s music concerts, and her grandchildren’s sporting and music events.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and six brothers: Clyde, Carlton, Leo, Robert, Cecil and Guy Alley.
Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Jerry M. Hudson, who she married on August 18, 1962; children Tim Hudson and wife Michelle of Greensboro and Tammy Carroll and husband Brian of Mooresville; four grandchildren Timothy Carroll, Laura Carroll, Tom Hudson and Luke Hudson; one great grandchild Olivia Rae; sister Peggy Gibson of Summerfield; brother Alton Alley of Siler City, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was a member of Wesley Memorial Methodist Church in High Point, where she loved attending.
The funeral will be held on Monday, February 2 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation from 12:30-1:45 p.m. at Wesley Memorial Methodist Church at 1225 Chestnut Drive in High Point 27262, with the Reverend Dr. Jeff Patterson officiating. Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery at 6000 West Gate City Boulevard in Greensboro. Memorials may be made to Wesley Memorial Methodist Church.
