Cecelia Chapman Powell-Brigman passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 4, 2024.
Cece is survived by her husband Terry Lynn Brigman; Her son and daughter-in-law Paul and Carmen Powell of Greensboro, NC; Terry’s children Todd and Timothy Brigman and Vanessa Fulbright; her brother and sister-in-law Bill and Dianne Chapman of Asheville, NC. She is also survived by a grandson Will Powell (Erika) and a great granddaughter Grace Powell.
Cece was born in California and moved with her family to Hendersonville as a child. She graduated from Hendersonville High School and then moved to Mars Hill where she resided for many years. She obtained her bachelor’s degree from Mars Hill College and later went on to work for the State of North Carolina. Cece and Terry Brigman founded and operated Brigman Valley Funeral Home for many years in Black Mountain, NC. More recently they have lived in Davidson, NC and the Greensboro – High Point area.
A graveside service will be held at Mountain View Memorial Park, 392 Tabernacle Rd, Black Mountain, NC, August 17, 2024 at 1:00 PM.
