Service will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 3:00 pm at Whitestone Masonic and Eastern Star Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Westminster Gardens Cemetery.
Charles was born November 10, 1930 in Mt. Hope West Virginia. He served in the US Army from 1952-1954. Charles was a member of the Greensboro Board of Realtors, the Masonic Lodge (Revolution) and Muirs Chapel UMC. He worked for the Greensboro News and Record after his retirement from real estate.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife Katherine Stephenson Lawhorn. Survivors are his sister, Jean Harless (Bob), niece Julea Danielson (Matthew); and nephews Grant and Adam Danielson all of Cary; nephew Gary Harless (Jennifer) and niece Ella Harless of Charlotte; niece, Kay Blythe and children Shannon and Daren Blythe of Fredricksburg, VA.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 pm.
