Cynthia "Cindy" Blue

Cynthia “Cindy” Holder Blue, 62, a resident of Greensboro passed away on Wednesday May 7, 2025 at Beacon Place in Greensboro. She was born April 23, 1963 in Monroe, the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Peggy Jean High Holder.

Cindy graduated from the former Bowman Sr. High School in Wadesboro in 1981 and received her B.S. degree in Human Services from Wingate University in 1985. After college, she worked for several years as the Activity Director for various nursing homes and adult day care centers. She eventually retired to become a full- time homemaker and stay at home mom to her three sons. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Garden Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Tony Lynn Blue of the home; three sons, Josh Blue and wife Nicole of Thomasville, Ryan Blue and wife Amber of Lexington, and Cameron Blue of Greensboro; one sister, Shelia H. Robertson and husband Ken of Winter Haven, FL; three grandchildren, Noah, Charlie and Zoey and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Margaret Blue of Greensboro.

She enjoyed baking, reading Karen Kingsbury novels, and collecting seashells at the beach. Above all she loved Jesus, and her family. At church she was very involved in various children ministries including, Girls in Action, ActTeens, and Vacation Bible School , and girls youth until she was unable to do so due to her declining health.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday May 13, 2025 at Pleasant Garden Baptist Church 1415 Neeley Rd. Pleasant Garden, NC 27313 officiated by the Revererend Mike Barrett and the Reverend Marty Tobin. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.

Serving as her pallbearers will be Josh Blue, Ryan Blue, Cameron Blue, Dennis Blue, Keith Gallimore and Adam Robertson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beacon Place at AuthoraCare 2502 Summit Ave. Greensboro, NC 27405; the Alzheimers Association, Pleasant Garden Baptist Church and WellSpring Memory Center
