

Mrs. Cynthia Anne Lassiter Clapp, 85, a resident of Jamestown and former resident of High Point passed away on Monday January 14, 2019 at the Hospice Home of High Point. She was born December 4, 1933 in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of Griffin Hill and Clara Morris Lassiter.
Mrs. Clapp was a graduate of High Point High School and was of the Methodist faith.
She was married to Charles Richard Clapp, Sr. who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mary L. Sneed, Ruth L. Walton and brothers, Grayson Lassiter and Robert “Bobby” Lassiter.
Surviving are her daughter, Cindy Clapp Murray and husband David of Wilmington; son, Charles Richard “Rick” Clapp, Jr. and wife Yolanda of Jamestown; sisters, Polly L. Gibson of High Point, Peggy L. Brewer of Lynchburg, VA; grandchildren, Justine Simpson, Celeste Esparza, Tyler Murray, Christopher Murray; great grandchildren, Elijah Esparza, Juliet Esparza, Jude Esparza and Sawyer Murray and many nieces and nephews that called her “Kinki”.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hanes-Lineberry Funeral Home Sedgefield Chapel conducted by the Reverend Donna Friddle. Interment will follow in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
