David Farrell Ostwalt

He was born January 9, 1961 in Charlotte, NC to Tony Ostwalt and Celeste Thomas Ostwalt. He is survived by his father, Tony, of the home and sister, Pamela Ostwalt-Craver of Jamestown, NC. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his mother, Celeste.

David was a lifelong member of McLeansville Baptist Church where he had proudly served as an usher. He was a 1980 graduate of Eastern Guilford High School and received an associate degree from GTCC at Jamestown in 1984. David loved people and will be remembered for his easy disposition and a good conversation but he loved being a prankster on his sister, Pam. As a youth he loved to build and fly model rockets. He enjoyed his ham radio and volunteered at many amateur radio events. David was a loyal Carolina fan and he enjoyed Greensboro baseball. He worked for Kmart Distribution Center and was currently employed by Grandover Resort. He was a good friend to many and will be missed by all who knew him.

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at McLeansville Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Barnette officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 12:00 - 1:45 PM prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
