Don lived most of his life in Burlington, North Carolina, but moved to Greensboro to be closer to his daughters and grandchildren where he has resided for the past eight years. He graduated from Walter M. Williams High School and spent most of his life working as an industrial plumber. He was a hard worker and always happy to provide for his family. In his spare time he loved fishing, being outdoors, grilling out and enjoying a beer. He enjoyed the simple things in life, but spending time with his family is what he enjoyed most.
To outsiders, Don was rough around the edges, but his family and those who knew him witnessed his unconditional love, compassion and selflessness. To know Don, is to know that you never know what to expect and his brutal honesty, feistiness and limitless boundaries produced some of the funniest stories which were one of the funniest things about him. He was very playful and loved aggravating us all. He was a husband, father, grandfather and friend who would help anyone who needed it.
In addition to his wife, Heather, Don leaves behind his sister. Carol; daughters, Jessica and Kayla; grandchildren, Alexxa, Mayson and one on the way; in-laws and his grand-dog, Sophia.
