He was born on July 29, 1938 in Leeds, AL to Louis and Kathleen Harding of Leeds, AL. He attended the University of Alabama and worked for Blue Bell, Inc. as an industrial engineer for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Kathleen Harding, sister Diane Harding, and infant daughter. He is survived by his wife, Caroline Harding of Jamestown, NC, as well as his sons Roger Harding and wife Donna of Apex, NC, and Gary Harding and wife Julie of Hickory, NC. Also surviving are his grandchildren Sarah Harding, Nicholas Harding, Emma Harding, and Steven Harding. Don also has a surviving sister, Enid Harding of Leeds, AL. Don was a beloved grandfather who enjoyed playing golf, planting flowers, and helping others.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to AuthoraCare Hospice of Greensboro would be greatly appreciated. Hanes Lineberry – Sedgefield is assisting the family.
